MAUSER Group appoints Hans-Peter Schaefer as CEO

MAUSER Group (“MAUSER” or the “Company”) announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Hans-Peter Schaefer as Chief Executive Officer. He replaces Dr. Clemens Willée who is leaving MAUSER to pursue other interests.

Hans-Peter Schaefer has been SBU Manager Asia and Head of Global Reconditioning at MAUSER since 2009. He initially joined the Company in 2004 as part of the acquisition of National Container Group, where he served as their CEO and President. Prior to that, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Schütz Container Systems in the United States. From 1982 to 1996, he was with Bayer AG, Germany, and his responsibilities included many managerial positions, Head of Purchasing and Special Projects, as well as Head and General Manager of Bayer's world-wide rubber and chemicals business. Mr. Schaefer received his degree in economics from the University of Mannheim in Germany.
